Program Overview and Goal:
The program goal of this course is to provide a review of the fundamentals of cellular biology as well as a basic overview of cellular constituents, characteristics and functions as they relate to cancer development and targeted therapies.
Upon completion of this activity, the learner should be able to:
- Define the structural and functional units of normal cells.
- Identify mechanisms of action for therapeutic targets of novel agents on proliferating malignant cells.
- Describe the pathophysiology of hypersensitivity reactions in response to the administration of novel agents.
Criteria for Successful Completion of Continuing Education Program:
To receive continuing nursing education credit, view the audio-slide show, take the multiple choice post test, and complete the evaluation online. Upon successful completion of the post test and evaluation, you will be able to print your continuing nursing education credit certificate. A passing grade of 70% is required.
