The 1st Annual Sonya Greenwood Memorial Seminar
Using Evidence-Based Practice in Patient Care
This program was designed to explain how patient centered care incorporates all elements of evidence-based practice (research, clinician experience, patient preferences and values, and patient history and assessment). Also, participants will learn about the integration of evidence-based practice when managing oncology patients' symptoms/side effects.
The keynote presentation will be presented by Ellen Fineout-Overholt, PhD, RN, FNAP, FAAN, a nationally recognized nursing leader and educator best known for promoting evidence-based practice in nursing across the United States and globally. She was recently named the Dean of the Frank S. Groner Endowed Memorial School of Professional Studies at East Texas Baptist University. She is also a clinical professor and director for advancement of evident-based practice at Arizona State University.
Continuing Nursing Education Credit
Nurses who attend this program in its entirety will be awarded 2.5 contact hours.
This continuing nursing education activity was approved by the ONS, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's COA.
This course has no associated registration fee. Dinner, all course materials/handouts, and Continuing Nursing Education Credits are provided free of charge.
